Holiday Pop-Ups with Colorado Makers

We are holding 3 different Meet the Maker Pop-ups this December featuring 6 different Colorado Artists! Join us the first 3 Saturdays in December to buy great art, jewelry, and accessories.

Dec. Art Pop-up

Join us for a holiday season pop-up with amazing artists Jenny Parks and Dailen Ogden. Both of these talented women will be in store all day on Dec. 1st (10 - 6pm) so come by to check out their work and grab a truly special gift!

Jenny Parks is a scientific illustrator that also happens to be a shameless nerd and cat lover. Out of what might be pure insanity, she has found herself in this peculiar niche of drawing pop-culture characters as cats. With a BFA in illustration from the California College of the Arts, and a graduate degree in Science Illustration from UC Santa Cruz, she now resides near Denver, CO as a freelance illustrator, fulfilling her destiny to make a living drawing cute, fuzzy things.

Her published work includes a fully illustrated book: Star Trek Cats published by Chronicle Books; variant covers for Marvel; and variant covers for Action Lab's Hero Cats comics.

Dailen Ogden is a freelance comic artist and illustrator based in Denver, Colorado. She graduated in 2015 from Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design with her BFA in Illustration. Her passion lies in character and costume design, as well as world-building and storytelling, and she is deeply inspired by history, magic, textiles, and folklore.

Dec Jewelry Pop-up

Wonderful jewelry artists Kirsten Denbow and Stacey Booth will be in store all day on Dec. 8th (10 - 6pm) so come by to check out their work.

Kirsten Denbow is a Denver, Colorado-based metalsmith and artist. She earned a Bachelor's in Fine Art in Metalwork and Jewelry Design from the University of Michigan in 1997 and a Masters of Art from California State University Fullerton in 2001. She has been teaching art and jewelry since 2007 and loves sharing her experience with others. Her work is unique, wearable, sophisticated but approachable, and she always tries to add an element of fun.

Stacey Booth is a Denver based jewelry artist working in copper, sterling silver, and vitreous enamel. She is inspired by organic patterns and textures as well as the clean and geometric lines of minimalist design. She loves to experiment with materials and techniques to create pieces that make the wearer smile and maybe turn a few heads. Each piece is entirely hand-fabricated in her Denver based home studio.

Accessory Designer Pop-Up

Accessory Designers and Makers Laurel Griffin and Alexa Allen craft in leather and denim. Both of these charming women will be in store all day on Dec. 15th (10 - 6pm) so come by to check out their unique wares.

Denim and leather goods with a focus on distinctive design, enduring style, and uncompromising quality are the cornerstone of work of Laurel Griffin. Her pieces have been hailed for their unique, contemporary aesthetic, and have a growing international following.

With a career in Fashion Design and experience working as a designer for brands like Gaiam, Union Bay, and Eddie Bauer, Laurel now focuses her design skills on crafting handmade pieces in her studio in the beautiful mountain town of Paonia, CO.

Alexa Allen is an artist, designer, and maker. Alexa was born and raised in Boulder and moved back in 2009. Having been formally trained as a woodworker, she started a line of eco-modern children's furniture but she soon became interested in expanding her skill-set and learning another craft. She discovered that the combination of wood and leather goods was a natural fit and this realization has shaped her work since.
