For the month of October, Balefire Goods welcomes photographer Melissa Mullins for her show featuring Halloween themed portraits. This collection of work reimagines "milk bath" portraits into a unique and thematic backdrop for glamorous takes on traditional Halloween themes and characters.
We are proud to announce that the next All Members Show for the Colorado Metalsmithing Association (CoMA) will be hosted by Balefire Goods. Balefire is committed to supporting art jewelry and metal arts in all its forms and this show is a perfect fit. This show also coincides with our first anniversary so it will be a great event!
For the month of September, Balefire Goods welcomes Denver based artist Peter S Yumi for an exhibit of his new body of work titled Culture Vultures.
For the month of July, Balefire Goods welcomes Denver based photographer, Jeff Strahl, who will be exhibiting his VALLARI series. This series explores modern-day goddesses representing music, painting, sculpture, architecture, literature, and photography with an engaging Art Nouveau aesthetic mixed with a contemporary pop art sensibility. Created in camera, without digital manipulation, these pieces exhibit a decidedly modern take while leveraging traditional and time-consuming techniques that honor the craft of photography.
May will be a very special month of art at Balefire Goods. We will be showcasing student artwork alongside many other Olde Town Merchants and in partnership with the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities. In addition to the student show, we will also be showcasing the encaustic work of local artist and art instructor Kirsten Denbow.
