Alyssa Polizzi (CoMA)
Alyssa has always been compelled to create beautiful things. Whether it’s sketching designs, sewing costumes or learning to forge and finish metals, making art is foundational for her.
Alyssa studied at Pratt Institute and Rhode Island School of Design, where she earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jewelry and Metalsmithing.
Based in Denver, CO, she approaches traditional adornment through a distinctly sentimental lens. Many of her inspirations can be traced back to my upbringing in Upstate New York, where she was surrounded by forgotten objects that begged to be loved once more. Tarnished or shimmering, new or old, all things have a story to tell. Alyssa makes everything by hand because it allows her to infuse her stories and ideas into each piece in a way that defies commercial jewelry making conventions.
Alyssa's work is in our gallery for a limited time through a partnership with the Colorado Metalsmithing Association (CoMA).
