Carly Wright
Carly Wright is a Studio Art Jewelry Designer with 35 years experience exhibiting in nationally juried shows. Carly's jewelry is inspired by the natural world, she is fascinated by cliffs revealing layers of sedimentary rock and ancient stone ruins.
Wright uses the enameling technique of champleve, firing fine granules of glass into recessed areas that are created with layers of sterling silver. Each piece is fired from 3 to 30 times in a kiln and ground smooth. The sterling silver is oxidized and steel brushed. Her enamel surfaces are etched to add a soft matte finish.
Carly earned a Bachelor of Fine Art degree from Empire State College and continued her studies with an emphasis on enameling at the Penland School of Crafts.
