Modern, yet organic forms, mixed with forging and hammering techniques are what inspire Nikki Nation. All pieces are handmade using traditional methods of metalsmithing such as fabrication, forming, texturing, and stone setting. Her work is sustainable and only uses conflict-free or recycled gemstones and diamonds, and recycled metal.
While studying Interior Design in college, Nikki Nation took a metalsmithing class and fell in love. She switched her area of focus and in 2006 received a BFA in Jewelry & Metalsmithing from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
In addition to being a studio jeweler, Nikki has taught at numerous non-profit art organizations and has also worked with a variety of jewelers and metalsmiths. She currently lives and works in sunny Denver, Colorado.
