What: Cuttlefish castings are fun to do and result in beautiful intriguing geometries that spark the imagination and challenge your creative mind to produce metal art. In this workshop, you will carve a design into a cuttlefish bone to be caste in either bronze or sterling silver in order to create mini sculptures or jewelry pieces. As you complete this process, you will discuss and learn safety procedures concerning the use of carving tools and the pouring of molten metal. No metalsmithing experience necessary. Ability to use carving tools is helpful.
