Mokume-gane is a centuries-old metalsmithing technique that originated in Japan. This method involves fusing layers of metal and then manipulating those layers by filing, hammering, twisting, stamping, etc. to create an unique and organic pattern. Mokume gane translates closely to "wood grain metal" or "wood eye metal" in Japanese and describes the way metal takes on the appearance of natural wood grain. These pieces are handcrafted in Boston, MA, USA.
This ring is crafted with 18k Yellow gold, 14k palladium white gold and silver in an Oak pattern. It is 6mm wide, with a slightly rounded profile, comfort fit, size 9 but can be made in any size, width, etc.
