Terroir Gems
Responsibly Sourced Gemstones
Almost a year in the making, we are so excited to officially launch our collection of traceable and artisanal sapphires and gemstones: Terroir Gems
Similar to how the natural environment imports character to a wine, the same can be said of the land’s impact on gemstones.
Many jewelers focus on selling stones that have been treated to create more uniformity and cut in more traditional shapes: homogenized for mass consumption.
However, we believe the natural colors, inclusions, and even shapes of gemstones that are imparted by nature are what make each stone uniquely beautiful.
This collection encompasses unique stones from artisanal miners collected from across the globe by our partner Johannes. With a thoughtful eye towards stability and sustainability for the miners and cutters that make their living from this work, along with maintaining the natural essence of these gemstones, each of these stones embodies the story of the land and its people.
