Mokume-gane is a metalsmithing technique from Japan that is created by fusing layers of metal and then manipulating those layers (filing, hammering, twisting, stamping, etc.) to create an organic pattern. Mokume-gane translates closely to "wood grain metal" or "wood eye metal" in Japanese and describes the way metal takes on the appearance of natural wood grain.

This ring is crafted with 22k yellow gold, 14k yellow gold, and sterling silver in a Birch Bold pattern. It is 6mm wide, has a slightly rounded profile, comfort fit, and is a size 8.5 but can be made in any size, width, etc.

These pieces are handcrafted in Leominster, MA, USA.
