How did you and your significant other meet?
Online (Hinge)
As a couple, what are your interests/hobbies?
Breweries, coffee shops, junk journaling, cooking/baking, exploring mountain towns.
When did you know your partner was “the one” and you wanted to get married?
For Kayleigh: I had an inkling when we started talking on Hinge but I don’t think I knew for sure until we were officially dating for about…oh 1 week? I knew quick.
For Eli: I could see it when we started talking on Hinge but knew for sure on Thanksgiving when I saw her interacting with my family.
What is one of your favorite things about your partner?
K: he is thoughtful and caring, thinks of me quickly and shares how he’s feeling right away.
E: she makes everybody feel valued.
What was your proposal like (was the ring a surprise or was it collaborative)?
The ring was Kayleigh’s grandmas so resizing and resetting it was a team effort but the proposal was an attempted surprise in a day trip to Breckenridge.
Why did you decide to work with Balefire?
The decision was easy: they were easy to work with, very communicative, and each team member was kind, clear and knowledgeable. They were within our price range and taught us about rings and stones to understand our own price range a bit better. They were patient as we were learning and making decisions about a family heirloom and we felt really respected and comfortable through the whole process. Bonus: Everything Balefire showed us looked so much better than other jewelers every single time. We love Balefire!
What advice would you give to other couples shopping for wedding or engagement rings?
Trust your instincts! If it doesn’t feel right, it’s not.
