Katherine Delaney's love affair with jewelry making was ignited during travels with her family and choosing mementos to remind her of these special moments. In high school, KD began creating beaded jewelry for friends and family but knew she was interested in going deeper into the trade. With an appreciation for high-quality craftsmanship that she inherited from her father, and following an intro class into metals, she realized this was a path towards a lifetime of meaningful work.
From that moment on, KD immersed herself in training at various metalsmith schools such as the Bouldering Metalsmithing Association and the New Approach School for Jewelers, where she received professional fabrication & stone setting training.
KD's creative process starts with hand-selecting unique gemstones which she then creates designs around using sterling silver and precious metals, always with the intention of letting the stone’s beauty speak for itself. She is drawn to rose-cut stones, turquoise, and different types of jasper, which meld to create a beautiful collection of jewelry intended for everyday wear. Originally from Florida, KD now lives and works in Denver, CO.
